Nucor Steel Brandenburg

Meade County is uniquely situated in a prime location for new or growing businesses. Our newly expanded and improved road infrastructure, including KY 313, provides a direct route to I-65 to the south and I-64 to the north, and easy access to east-west routes. Further, nearby Louisville International Airport and UPS World Port provide easy, fast access to global markets. Our CSX Railway system and Meade County Riverport complete the Meade County area’s extensive transportation system. And our Central Kentucky location puts two-thirds of the U.S. population within a day’s drive.

Meade County is a friend to entrepreneurs, and recently, as a part of Elizabethtown Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), was named one of the fastest-growing areas for startups according to Census Bureau data. We house several family operated businesses, as well as larger corporations, all offering opportunities to local residents and beyond.
